Welcome to Tangled Lines – the home of Thomas & Thomas in the blogosphere. Many of us here, thought we’d never hear ourselves utter these words.
I’m Mark – owner of T&T – and this is my first ever blog post. I should confess that the concept does not yet sit easy with me. My last foray in to the world of business occurred in the nineties and seemed a million miles away from the ‘brave new world’ we’re faced with today. Back then it was considered that the sure-fire route to success was to sell your soul. Now – apparently – you have to bare it.
Fortunately I’m going to have some assistance. ‘Tangled Lines’ will be a collaborative effort and we aim for it to evolve in to a place where many voices will be heard. We’ll be inviting contributions from a diverse group of bloggers – anglers and outfitters, artists and writers, travelers and mariners, naturalists and scientists, musicians and hedonists. Our co-founder and head of design, Tom Dorsey, is a man that fits most, if not all, of the aforementioned categories and we hope to talk Tom in to sharing a few of his unique insights on a regular basis.
The loose theme for the blog will be ‘a life framed by fly fishing’ although we’re anticipating that at times the link between theme and content may be tenuous. What won’t is our commitment to keeping you, our friends and customers, connected to the world of Thomas & Thomas. Your words of encouragement as we’ve entered the recovery process after our mid-life crisis have been a constant source of inspiration to us all in Greenfield, MA.
More than ever we realize we are part of a community of fly fishers that extends around the world and the Internet provides us with a superb mechanism for building ever-stronger bonds. Please continue to let us know what you do (and don’t) want to see and hear from Thomas & Thomas. We exist to enrich your fly fishing experience. MR.
